About the Role
A leading logistics and supply chain operator is seeking an experienced National OHS Manager to oversee safety and compliance across its national operations. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will lead a team of four safety professionals and drive a strong safety culture across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 safety professionals across all sites.
- Provide expert advice to operational leaders on enhancing HSE culture and performance.
- Implement and design policies, procedures, and systems as the business grows.
- Manage end-to-end workforce safety management, fostering a safety-focused culture.
- Ensure compliance with company processes and OHS legislation.
- Collaborate with management to mitigate safety risks to people and business.
- Oversee OHS training, inductions, and certification requirements.
- Manage incident reporting, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification to prevent incidents.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven senior leadership experience in OHS/WHS.
- Strong ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the business.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and HSE policy implementation.
- Background in Occupational Health and Safety, Workers' Compensation, and Injury Management (preferably in Transport & Logistics).
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring teams.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
