• $69.80-$81 per hour + super (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to support an employee with a disability, ensuring they are set up for success in their new role.

About You

• We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about workplace inclusion and fostering meaningful engagement.
• Registered Occupational Therapist or Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist.
• Experience in workplace or vocational settings (vocational rehabilitation experience is highly desirable).
• Basic understanding of government and professional executive environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Commitment to workplace safety and confidentiality.
• Able to work flexibly and adapt to different workplace needs.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with an employee transitioning into new responsibilities, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed.

• Conduct occupational therapy assessment and provide expert guidance.
• Collaborate with supervisors to develop tailored support strategies.
• Identify and recommend workplace adjustments and adaptive tools.
• Develop resources such as visual aids, fact sheets, and structured guides.
• Monitor and document progress, providing updates to key stakeholders.
• Support workplace professionalism and positive behaviour reinforcement.
• Foster structure and routine to boost confidence and independence.
• Uphold workplace safety policies and confidentiality standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (or related field) from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia or relevant professional body.
• Ability to work a minimum of two weeks, with the possibility of extension.
• Ideally available between 8:30 AM 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (flexible arrangements available).
• Understanding of workplace diversity and disability support.
