About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an Operations Planner for a position based on site at 6 Mile. This role offers a 5/2, 4/3 roster, FIFO from Perth or options to work residential for Karratha residents.

Key duties and responsibilities:

The Ballast Cleaning Operations Planner is responsible for coordinating and planning activities related to the Ballast Cleaning works. This role involves scheduling and organizing ballast cleaning operations, considering factors such as project requirements, equipment availability, enabling works, logistic arrangements, accommodation requirements, track access availability and operational efficiency. The planner works closely with maintenance teams, equipment operators, and other stakeholders to ensure that ballast cleaning projects are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Additionally, the role may involve analysing data, monitoring project progress, and making adjustments to plans as needed to optimize the overall performance of ballast cleaning operations.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence
  • Experience working in Railway Operations/planning/maintenance
  • Proven experience developing Gantt charts in MS Project
  • Understanding of maintenance management principles and work management systems
  • Demonstrable background delivering projects in line with predicted operational requirements
  • Experience undertaking technical reviews and investigations
  • Proficient in the use of computer systems including Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Project Management
