About the client
Our client is a well-established waste management company based in Dublin. They are currently seeking an experienced Waste Management Operator to join their team.
About the role
WorkPac is seeking a Waste Management Operator to work within the waste industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and processing waste materials while ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
Key responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive direction from the General Manager or Leading Hand regarding priorities, which may change from time to time.
- Handle, sort, allocate, cover, and bury waste as applicable.
- Safely operate plant and equipment within current training and competence.
- Supervise contractors and other service providers as applicable.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained to a high level and all breakdowns are reported immediately to your supervisor.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in the waste management or related industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety regulation's and waste handling procedures.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
