About the Role

Were looking for a Parks & Gardens Assistant on behalf of our client, to help maintain and improve landscaped gardens and rehabilitation areas. Reporting to the Landscape Manager, youll work in a small, friendly team handling a variety of tasks, from plant care to irrigation maintenance. This role suits someone with a landscaping or horticultural background who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply herbicides using various spray equipment
• Perform manual landscaping tasks including weeding, pruning, and mulching
• Maintain plants, turf, and paddocks with appropriate fertilization
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and installation
• Install and maintain turf, plants, and other landscaping features
• Operate small machinery such as bobcats, tractors, and excavators
• Maintain landscaped gardens and native rehabilitation areas
• Keep green spaces clear of debris and litter

Skills and Experience Required

• WA Drivers License (HR preferred)
• White Card, Bobcat & Excavator tickets
• Experience in landscaping or horticulture
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn spraying applications (chemical spray certificate advantageous)
• Experience operating commercial lawn mowing and landscaping equipment
• Understanding of irrigation maintenance and minor repairs
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
