About Our Client
Our client is a local government authority responsible for delivering essential services, infrastructure, and community programs that support the liveability, sustainability, and growth of the Sunshine Coast region. They work across a diverse range of areas including waste services, transport, environmental management, and community facilities to support residents, businesses, and visitors.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced parks and gardens workers to join their team in a long term, full-time position servicing the Sunshine Coast region.
What You Will Be Doing:
Working Monday Friday, 6:00am 3:30pm you will be responsible for maintaining parks and gardens around the sunshine coast. Your duties will include:
- Carry out horticulture and landscaping tasks such as: Planting, weeding, mulching, pruning of trees and shrubs
- Mowing
- Irrigation
- Turf Management
- Plant propagation
- Remove and dispose of debris and litter from parks and gardens
- General labouring
- Spray and control pests in parks and gardens.
What You Will Need:
- Certificate II in Horticulture or relevant experience. - desirable not mandatory
- White card
- Current C class drivers licence & LR Licence.
- Physically fit
