About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Fire Equipment Technician to join a well-established leader in the fire protection industry.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you will be responsible for servicing, testing, maintaining and installing portable fire equipment, while also identifying sales opportunities and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and testing of portable fire equipment in line with Australian Standards
Carrying out minor repairs, fault finding and defect rectification
Installation and relocation of fire equipment across customer sites
Preparing accurate service reports and documentation
Providing high-level customer service and acting as a key point of contact onsite
Promoting and selling additional products and services to meet sales targets
Identifying new business opportunities and maintaining market awareness
Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality and company procedures
Liaising with internal teams and supporting broader operations as required
About You
Experience in fire equipment servicing, mechanical trades, or a similar field
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (or willingness to learn)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
Proven ability to work independently and manage your own workload
A proactive mindset with a focus on customer service and sales opportunities
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Current Drivers Licence
