About the Client
Known as the preferred reinforcement supplier to the Australian Housing for over 100 years, our client is Australia's leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, providing solutions for commercial, industrial and residential construction. They have a site based in Hemmant (QLD) and have multiple vacancies for Production Workers to commence immediately in an ongoing role.
About the Role
As a Production Worker you will be a critical member of the team, working in either the Machine Operating or Welding section. With both day & afternoon shifts available, you will have the opportunity to move into a position that suits your lifestyle.
Day Shift
Hours : 5am -1pm (Monday to Friday)
Rate : $37.15/hour with penalties
Afternoon Shift
Hours : 1pm- 9pm (Monday to Friday)
Rate : $37.15/hour with penalties + $5.57/hour afternoon shift allowance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating various production machinery to bend, cut and measure materials
- Completing MIG & TACK welding duties on reinforced steel
- Ensuring your workspace is well maintained
- Work collaboratively with other team members & provide proactive solutions & actions to get the job done, safely and efficiently.
Skills and Experience
- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport
- Able to follow directions and instructions
- Promote a strong Safety culture
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Previous MIG/TACK welding experience (highly desirable)
