What you will be doing

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Ensuring a safe workplace by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in compliance with OH&S legislation and company policies.
• Managing and coordinating site operations to achieve production targets, quality assurance, budget control, and effective resource allocation.
• Leading and developing a team of nine staff, including mill operators and maintenance personnel.
• Maintaining compliance with environmental, HACCP, and Feedsafe standards.
• Overseeing inventory control, raw material supply, and production planning to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving strategies to optimize site operations.
• Handling customer service activities, including inquiries and complaint resolution.
• Monitoring and reporting on plant performance, including equipment efficiency and downtime.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls.

What you will need

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, and developing employees in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of OH&S, QA, and statutory management standards.
• Experience in production planning, control, and measurement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems, including MRP2 and ERP environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• A valid drivers license and flexibility to travel regionally if required.
• Understanding of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
