About Our Client
Our client is a major player in the production of large precast concrete products used in bridges, highways, and underground water systems. Theyre expanding their team and are chasing hands-on production workers to join either the Casting or Reo Welding crews, based out of their Swanbank factory.
About the Rates
Successful candidates will start on $36.27/hour + penalties, with clear opportunities to increase your rate based on performance, reliability, and work ethic. Rate structure is as per the below;
- Pay Rate 1 (Entry Level) = $36.27/hour + penalties
- Pay Rate 2 = $38.22/hour + penalties
- Pay Rate 3 = $40.54/hour + penalties
If you have significant, proven experience in either Precast or Reo Welding, you may be eligible to commence at Pay Rate 2 from day one.
What You Will Be Doing
Working Monday Friday 4:00AM-12:00PM (OT Opportunity also) you will be working in a precast environment within either the Casting or Reo Welding team. Core duties include;
- Casting Team
- Set up and strip moulds
- Assist with concrete pours
- Concrete casting and general production work
- Keep the yard clean and safe
- Reo Welding Team
- MIG welding reinforced steel for concrete pours
- Fabricating reo bars
- General workshop and yard housekeeping
What You Will Need:
- Drivers licence + reliable transport
- Precast experience
- Previous precast experience highly regarded
- Physically fit this is labour-intensive work
- Good attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & Drug and Alcohol screen
