About the Position:
WorkPac are seeking experienced Project Manager for a role based in Rockhampton. This role is offering a Monday to Friday roster for a 12 month duration. The Project Manager role is critical to supporting the successful delivery of a major transport and infrastructure investment program, including key highway upgrade and targeted safety initiatives. These programs represent a significant, state wide portfolio requiring complex governance, reporting, and administrative processes. The role ensures effective program oversight, compliance, and coordination across multiple funding streams and stakeholders, while providing direct support at a senior leadership level.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage program-level administration tasks, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and reporting requirements.
- Track project progress against key milestones, budgets, and performance indicators, and prepare detailed reports to inform decision-making and ensure transparency.
- Support program-level planning activities and monitor performance against key objectives and milestones.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, implementing proactive solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee administrative tasks during the implementation phase of the Australian Government Road Safety Program, ensuring alignment with broader Targeted Road Safety Program objectives.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, funding agreements, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, registers, and assurance processes on program progress and performance.
- Facilitate effective coordination and communication across multiple funding streams and program stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements across BHUP, BHTSP, and AGRSP to enhance program efficiency and delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Project and Program Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale infrastructure and safety programs using methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, or Agile, with skills in performance monitoring, risk management, and program oversight across multiple funding streams.
- Governance and Compliance: Strong understanding of governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and quality assurance processes, with experience in preparing detailed reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring program integrity.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Proven ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate across multiple teams and funding streams, and present program updates and performance metrics to senior management.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure and Safety Programs: A background and understanding of Queensland Government infrastructure and road safety programs would be advantageous.
