About the Client

About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Project Planner on behalf of Rio Tinto, reporting to the superintendent of Project Controls the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project scheduling, planning, and reporting. Working closely with senior staff, you will help maintain and monitor integrated project schedules, ensuring efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and reporting on project schedules
- Participate in schedule review meetings and provide updates
- Support development of monthly schedule reports and analysis
- Help maintain project integrity by monitoring changes and progress
- Collaborate with cost engineering and estimating teams to assess impacts
- Ensure compliance with standardized project control processes and tool
- Maintain relationships with contractors and key project stakeholders
- Provide technical support to project teams
Skills and Experience Required
- 5-7 years of experience in project planning or project controls
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost estimation, and reporting
- Experience working with integrated project schedules and tracking progress
- Ability to analyze schedule changes and communicate implications effectively
- Proficiency in project planning tools and software
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
