About Our Client:
This Western Australian contractor is entering a strong growth phase, supported by a substantial pipeline of shutdown and project work across the Pilbara and South West regions. With continued expansion and increasing project demand, the business is strengthening its site leadership capability and seeking experienced Shutdown Supervisors to support ongoing operations and future growth. Known for delivering reliable outcomes in high-demand environments, the organisation offers the opportunity to play a key role in major shutdown programs across WA.
About the Position:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Shutdown Supervisor to join our clients expanding team in the WA mining sector.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage comprehensive shutdown plans, coordinating resources and timelines
- Lead, motivate, and ensure the safety of the team on-site
- Ensure clear communication and regular updates for all stakeholders
- Troubleshoot problems and ensure all work meets industry standards and company policies
- Oversee resource management, time management, and documentation
Skills & Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in the mining industry, specifically with shutdowns and large-scale maintenance projects
- CurrentIRATA Certification
- Nationally accredited Working at Heights and Confined Space (within 3 years)
- Experience withRio Tinto, BHP, or FMG inductionsis a bonus (desired )
- A strong commitment tosafetyand teamwork
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening
