Rio Tinto operates the worlds largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.

About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking a Senior Advisor for Traditional Owner Agreements on behalf of Rio Tinto. The successful candidate will work with the Traditional Owner Partnerships & Heritage Management Team for a 6-month duration. The role is a great opportunity to demonstrate engagement and collaboration skills within a face-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support internal Rio Tinto project teams to ensure technical compliance to existing agreements and commitments.
• Project manage, analyse and research strategic direction for partnership and agreement improvement.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, including monitoring frameworks
• Support agreement modernization through drafting, review and analysis
• Write internal papers to influence strategy and plans
  

Skills & Experience Required:

• Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
• Ability to interpret legal and contract reports
• Proficient with drafting and preparing agreements, contracts, policies and internal reports
• Strong researching capabilities
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• C Class Drivers License
