Rio Tinto operates the worlds largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets, including 15 mines, four port facilities, and a 1,700km rail network in the Pilbara. They are expanding operations with cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

 

About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Senior Change Advisor to join Rio Tinto based in Perth. This role is offering part time hours of 2-3 days per week for a 6 month duration.  

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead change planning to assess change complexity and design
  • Leverage user insights and change impact assessment to define change management and communications approach
  • Assess change readiness by capturing user sentiment and available implementation data to develop transition plans and mitigation strategies
  • Support the delivery of change management activities and interventions to ensure implementation effectiveness and to support sustainable change
  • Partner with program teams to guide and coach teams through the change management process
  • Facilitate lessons learnt sessions and deliver pulse checks for in-flight and implemented projects, sharing insights across the Improvement Division and the broader change network
  • Develop and maintain highly effective relationships with business stakeholders to ensure the successful embedment of business improvement projects

 

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • 5 years + hands on experience in planning and implementing cultural and organizational change with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of change management methodologies and able to demonstrate applied knowledge using a structure approach to managing change
  • Highly effective leadership, organisational, time management and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pace role, managing competing priorities, deliverables and stakeholders whilst maintaining autonomy and self-motivation
  • Experience in contemporary change management methodologies will be viewed favourably (Lean, Agile Change, PROSCI etc)
  • Proven communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate and manage stakeholder relationships within a large complex organisation
  • Demonstrated curiosity and drive for thinking differently, with an ability to identify and effectively navigate obstacles or roadblocks and respectfully challenge whist remaining empathetic and patient
