About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of a Senior Procurement and Contracts Advisor to join our esteemed client's team. This position is Monday to Friday, for a 3-month duration Working from Home, within WA
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the procurement team to ensure high-quality and compliant procurement activities.
- Coordinate and support the procurement team to administer procurement functions efficiently.
- Provide expert advice to staff and business units on procurement, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficient customer service.
- Develop and deliver in-house training programs to enhance procurement knowledge across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with the local business community and support local procurement initiatives.
- Manage procurement risks and ensure compliance, documenting processes for audit and probity purposes.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Contracting, or related field, or extensive relevant experience.
- Strong experience in government procurement and tendering practices, with the ability to interpret legislation.
- Proven ability to identify and manage procurement risks.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with effective time management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
