About the Client:
Our client is a global leader in mining operations and operates the worlds largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls to deliver accurate, timely cost and schedule control across major projects. This role plays a critical part in establishing strong project governance, enabling early identification of risks and opportunities, and supporting informed decision-making aligned to business objectives. You will lead a high-performing project controls team while working closely with project managers, EPCM partners, and integrated delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing project controls team
- Establish and maintain cost and schedule baselines aligned to scope and execution strategy
- Oversee monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting
- Implement and manage project controls processes for cost, schedule, risk, and change
- Manage project change control, including identification, assessment, and reporting
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks and trends
- Provide expert advice and assurance to project managers and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and reporting requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in senior project controls roles on major projects
- Strong background in cost and schedule management and performance reporting
- Experience working within EPCM and integrated project teams
- Proficiency with project controls systems (e.g. SAP, Primavera)
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing project controls teams
- Experience delivering SMP and ENI projects
- Infrastructure or large-scale capital project background
