About Our Client:
Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with local, DIDO and BIBO optional.
What You Will Be Doing:
Opportunities exist for skilled and experienced Shotfirer. If successful you will be required to work on a 7/7 roster working rotating days and nights. This contract is for 2 to 3 months with a possible extension for the right candidate. You will be required to work closely with the Dragline Department identifying Miss fires and assisting the Blast Crew as required.
An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
What You Will Need:
- Minimum 12 months experience working as a Shotfirer within Coal Mining Industry.
- You will need to have obtained a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within the last 2 years or be willing to attain this.
- Shotfirer ticket, SSAN Clearance & Current police Check within 12 months.
