About Our Client
Join a forward-thinking local council dedicated to maintaining and improving public spaces located North of Adelaide CBD. This role is part of a supportive and proactive team committed to creating vibrant parks, verges, and reserves that the community can enjoy.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Team Member in Parks & Verges, you will:
Operate front deck mowers and other equipment to maintain verges, reserves, and open spaces as part of the city-wide Annual Mowing Maintenance Program.
Adhere to work health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborate with other teams to deliver high-quality maintenance services and a positive customer experience.
Support other City Operations teams during peak periods to ensure seamless service delivery.
What You Will Need
- A current MR drivers license (unrestricted).
- Experience operating front deck mowers and medium plant equipment.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices with a strong focus on safety.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
Desirable but not essential:
- Qualifications in Horticulture or similar fields.
- Experience operating additional equipment such as road sweepers, tractors, or skid steer.
- Chainsaw certification or licenses for equipment like forklifts and graders.
