This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and reliable Trade Assistants seeking ongoing work within a well-established manufacturing environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Trade Assistant, you will be supporting workshop operations across various departments, assisting with product preparation, equipment operation, and general manufacturing duties. The role will involve working with machinery, power tools, and completing manual handling tasks within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Your duties will include:
Following directions and reading instructions from plans and work orders
Operating machinery, power tools, and workshop equipment including grinders, saws, drills, presses, and cranes
Identifying routine faults or operational issues and reporting as required
Performing manual handling and general labouring duties
Preparing and handling product samples as required
Conducting product inspections and quality checks
Loading and unloading products and materials
Moving products and equipment manually or by mechanical means
Sand blasting products as required
Maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and quality standards
Roster:
Morning Shift
Monday Thursday: 6:00am 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am 12:00pm
What You Will Need:
Previous experience in a Trade Assistant or manufacturing environment highly regarded
Experience operating hand and power tools
Ability to read and follow work instructions and plans
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
Strong safety awareness and positive work attitude
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
