About our Client
Our leading global mining and resource client is a leading producer of iron ore, copper, metallurgical coal, nickel and potash. As part of their Minerals Australia operation, you will have the opportunity to work onsite with one of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold and uranium including underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.
About the Role
Underground Technician required for an initial 3 month role on a 8/6 FIFO roster at a minesite in South Australia.
What you will be doing
- This position will include driving LVs underground
- Undertake daily air quality surveys in working areas, reconciliation, and reporting data.
- Constant liaison and collaboration with mine ventilation, occupational hygiene, radiation personnel and production crews.
- Assist the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) in maintaining the air quality data.
What you will need
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience working in an underground mine production environment
- Previous experience in a ventilation technician or occupational hygiene technician role (desirable but not essential)
- An ability to drive LVs underground and able to pass the underground driving assessment. These are manual, so must have experience with manual vehicles
- Proficiency with Excel
- Technical background in collecting field data (Desirable but not Essential )
