About the Client

Our Client is a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced distribution and logistics environment. They are known for maintaining high standards across safety, accuracy, and customer service while supporting a strong team-based workplace. This role plays a critical part in ensuring orders are dispatched correctly, efficiently, and in line with freight and compliance requirements.

What you will be doing

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the below duties:

• Checking picked orders against picking slips to ensure accuracy of items and quantities
• Identifying, recording, and escalating discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods
• Packing orders safely and efficiently, including separating DG and food products
• Applying correct handling, safety labels, and documentation
• Measuring and recording carton and pallet weights and dimensions for freight purposes
• Preparing orders for invoicing and transfer to designated dispatch areas
• Invoicing customer orders using warehouse systems and ensuring freight accuracy
• Consigning freight via freight management systems and selecting appropriate carriers
• Printing, attaching, and filing invoices, connotes, and DG manifests correctly
• Consolidating freight where possible to improve efficiency
• Managing backorders, partial supplies, and procurement adjustments accurately

What you will need

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or distribution environment
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet dispatch timeframes
• Sound computer and numerical skills
• Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
• DG awareness or freight system experience (desirable)
