What You Will Be Doing
WorkPac are seeking a skilled and reliable welder to carry out a variety of tasks during maintenance shutdowns and project works. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welds using techniques such as MMAW, FCAW, and arc air gouging, in compliance with approved weld procedures. You will ensure accurate use of consumables, feeds, amperages, and pre-heating, while welding steel structures in sequence to minimise shrinkage and distortion. Responsibilities also include removing tack welds, restoring weld preparations, and adhering to current Australian Welding Standards. Candidates must be capable of passing weld tests in 3G, 4G, and 6G positions, and demonstrate a strong commitment to following established quality control systems and procedures.
What You Require
- Cert III Engineering Fabrication.
- White Card
- Confined Spaces
- Willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
- Marine Vessel Experience.
- Must have own Adflo helmet
