About the Client
The client prioritizes exceptional customer service, consistently surpassing expectations through rapid turnarounds and efficient deliveries. They cater to oil companies, drilling contractors, and other service providers, primarily operating in the Northwest Shelf of Western Australia, the Cooper Basin in South Australia and Queensland, as well as Papua New Guinea. Their operations are supported by a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility located in Jandakot, Perth.
What you will be doing
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join our client's team in Jandakot for a dynamic role supporting the oil and gas service industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and machinery, as well as assembling and installing new systems in line with specifications and blueprints. Key responsibilities include performing inspections, calibrating equipment, managing parts and inventory, and providing effective solutions to technical issues. After completing the required training, you will also operate and train others on equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, torque turn machines, power tongs, and various hand tools. General maintenance of equipment, including rental tools and water blasters, will also be part of the role.
Additionally, this position requires rotating across different workshop specializations, with training provided to support a smooth transition. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred), one year of experience working with hand tools, and experience in hydraulic or pneumatic operations (preferred).
