About the Client

Our client conducts regular live auctions at 40+ permanentauction sitesaround the globe, with both live auctioneer and Timed Auction formats. They gather equipment from many different sellers, and then sell it all on auction day attracting onsite and online buyers from around the world.

What you will be doing

As a Yard Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the flow of vehicles and assets within our site. This hands-on role involves forklift operation, overseeing asset check-in via a handheld device, photographing vehicles, car detailing, decal removal and storage of assets all while ensuring compliance and safety standards are met. 

Our client is looking for multiple yard coordinatiors to join their team based in Pinkenba. You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Perform vehicle check-in, appraising, photographing and storage of assets, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Operate loaders and forklifts to manage asset movement within the yard safely.
• Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance and enhance their value at auction, training provided
• Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch
• Verify documentation and address any discrepancies in asset records.
• Coordinate with transport providers for the timely delivery and removal of assets.
• Assist clients, assessors and transporters with on-site queries, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain accurate operational records and report yard performance updates to management.
  

What you will need

• Current QLD Licence and reliable transport
• Forklift License
• Minimum 2+ years in a similar operational role (automotive, auction, logistics, or salvage industries preferred)
• Mechanically Minded An interest in automotive, mechanical repairs, experience in the equipment industry experience desirable.
• Problem-Solving Ability Experience handling logistical challenges and safety compliance.
