About the Client
Our client is Australias leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, providing solutions for commercial, industrial and residential construction. They have a site based in Hemmant (QLD) and have multiple vacancies for Forklift Operators to commence immediately.
About the Role
As a forklift operator you will be a critical member of the team, working in either the yard or designated sections of the facility. With both day & afternoon shifts available, you will have the opportunity to move into a position that suits your lifestyle.
Day Shift
Hours : 5am 1pm (Monday to Friday)
Rate : $38.26/hour with penalties
Afternoon Shift
Hours : 1pm 9pm (Monday to Friday)
Rate : $38.26/hour with penalties + $5.74/hour afternoon shift allowance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Move mesh bar around the yard by hand and forklift
- Move reo bar around the yard by hand and forklift
- Unload and load the truck for deliveries
- Ensuring your workspace is well maintained
- Work collaboratively with other team members & provide proactive solutions & actions to get the job done, safely and efficiently.
Skills and Experience
- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport
- Forklift ticket
- Able to follow directions and instructions
- Promote a strong Safety culture
- Previous experience in operating forklift in a production or manufacturing facility
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
