Administrator Officer

About the Role:

To provide accurate and efficient administrative support to Branches within the Planning and Development Directorate to assist in the implementation and achievement of the relevant Branch Business Plan. This role is based in Gympie.

To provide high quality frontline customer service as an integral part of the delivery of services provided by Branches within the Planning and Development Directorate.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Deliver timely and accurate administration functions to meet the business needs of Branches within the Planning and Development Directorate.

  • Provide quality frontline customer service representing Council and the Directorate in a positive and professional manner.

  • Contribute to the daily operations of the relevant Branch responding courteously and efficiently to enquiries received in person, by telephone, fax or email.

  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of property, building, development and other related application, registration and approval records.

  • Resolve administrative problems, identify solutions and provide information by answering questions and requests by analysing data from multiple databases.

  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with internal and external customers.

Key Requirements:

  • C Class Drivers Licence - mandatory

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and organise workloads to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to support the delivery of the Branch's priorities

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including an understanding of the role of confidentiality within an administrative environment

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience providing administration and project support in a planning and development environment

  • Sound understanding of records management requirements, land information systems and database management

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications
