About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Analyst for Rail systems. This role is a residential preferred role (FIFO considered) 8 days on 6 days off based in the coastal town of Dampier and will report to the Superintendent, Condition Monitoring. The role is accountable and responsible for the maintenance of rail asset protection and condition monitoring equipment, to support the efficient operation of the railway.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Efficiently carrying out planned maintenance and inspections on asset protection systems that provide safe and reliable operation of the railway
Identify and correct electronic and mechanical problems on asset protection equipment affecting the operation of our rail system
Assist with the development and implementation of improvement projects and proposing improvements to maintenance processes, including the proactive use of diagnostic tools to support predictive maintenance activities
Attend and rectify faults in a safe and timely manner to minimise production delays
Skills & Experience Required:
A demonstrated commitment towards safety.
Experience in fault finding, both field work and remote diagnostics (preferably railway)
Ability to effectively communicate to multiple stakeholders.
A current 'C' class driver's licence
Relevant trade qualification in the field of Electronics or Communications or equivalent.
Two years systems/communications/electronics maintenance experience.
Previous experience with maintaining wayside asset protection equipment
UNIX/LINUX operating system experience
Knowledge of radio/data communication systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP communications systems
MS office suite experience
