What You Will Be Doing
WorkPac is seeking experienced Boilermakers to join the RSM Wagons Maintenance teams to perform planned maintenance activities at Rio Tintoâs Rail Operations. These port facilities consist of shipping terminals with each terminal having facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks related to ore car maintenance.
Wheel, bearing, draft-gear, bogie and brake system repairs (welding & cutting)
You will be required to learn and then shunt wagons around the workshop
Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner
Skills & Experience
Relevant Australian recognised fabrication trade certification
Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
Welding and oxy cutting
Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
