About the role

An exciting opportunity for a Civil Supervisor in the Cadia Tailings Storage Facility Recommissioning Project.

We are currently seeking an experienced civil supervisor to join our team on the Cadia Gold Mine, Located in Cadia Valley, just 20 minutes from Orange. This project is a joint partnership between CPB & Newcrest Mining (Tailings Alliance) and involves enabling works associated with the existing Cadia Tailings storage facilities and ancillary works including haul roads and supporting facilities.

In return for your skills and expertise, we offer a competitive flat rate of $85 per hour. Accommodation for FIFO & DIDO is provided as well as all meals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a major project with our Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, providing you stable employment for the next two years.

In this role you will be managing a crew of up to 15 (at peak can increase to as much as 60 â but will depend on qualify of candidate). Crew will be made up of Operators (Truck Drivers, Diggers, Dozers, All Rounder Operators, Final Trim etc).

Duties and Requirements

As a civil supervisor , your day-to-day tasks will include Managing teams, conducting pre-starts in front of whole project/site at times, safety & compliance auditing, reporting on works progress to Site Superintendents, escalating point for issues/challenges onsite.

FIFO/ DIDO

FIFO and DIDO options are available for successful candidates. For those who are FIFO, a chartered flight from Brisbane will be provided every Wednesday. If you are new to the project, you will receive inductions from Monday to Thursday (all paid), with the option to fly back home after inductions are completed. For DIDO candidates, travel expenses will be covered, with a rate of 0.70c per km paid. If you are traveling from more than 3 hours away, you will be required to submit a travel plan due to fatigue management concerns.

Accommodation will be provided in Orange (20 minutes away from the project site), including self-contained units and leased houses. Operators on the same swing and roster will be housed together where possible.
