About the Role

This position has key responsibilities to contribute and assist with the safety and efficiency of our clients projects being carried out in Karratha. This will be achieved by the supervision of teams / crews undertaking projects in accordance with construction specifications, Australian standards and specific authority guidelines. You will be able to demonstrate strong experience in the completion of Civil Mining Projects, Rail Maintenance, Bulk Earthworks and Roadworks. Residential applicants preferred but all considered, primarily based in Karratha/Wickham area.

Key Responsibilities

• Applying practical knowledge to relevant workplace systems and procedures and/or site specific procedures/instructions

• Oversee and implement project safety processes, procedures, pre-starts and tool box meetings

• Able to organise and manage operational staff across projects to ensure project tasks and targets are completed safely and met on time

• Developing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Working knowledge and background in operation of various plant capability and appropriate selection for required task

• Calculating and monitoring daily cost of resources and working to target budgets

• Leading a culture of safety and productivity

• Must be either an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the civil construction industry

• Relevant qualifications are highly regarded however not mandatory

• Manual C class drivers licence

• Pass a pre employment medical
