WorkPac are currently seeking a Communities and Social Performance Advisor to join the Rio Tinto Exploration team in Perth.

WorkPac are looking for a Communities and Social Performance Advisor to join an expanding team to support the ramp up of exploration and studies activity in the Paterson Region, the home of our exciting copper-gold discovery Winu project. The successful candidate will facilitate community engagement and participation at Rio Tinto Exploration???s project. This role is a great opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders on community engagement initiatives to enable meaningful participation at our Clients projects. This is a on going Perth based opportunity with regular site travel and engagement working closely with the Nyangumarta and Martu Traditional Owners.

About the Role:

• Engage and collaborate with key project stakeholders including the Traditional Owners and Indigenous Rangers to ensure positive relationships are maintained and further developed

• Facilitate Traditional Owner employment on the project supporting teams and employees to enable sustainable and positive outcomes

• Help with developing, facilitating and supporting participation of Indigenous Rangers in Project activities across all aspects of land management

• Facilitate and support the CSP team with safe and effective execution of field work based out of the Project, including cultural heritage surveys, monitoring and broader engagement site visits with the Traditional Owners, consultants and other service providers

About You:

• Experience in and a culturally sensitive approach to, working with Indigenous communities

• Graduate qualifications in a related field such as Anthropology, Environmental Science, Community Relations or equivalent industry experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills ???ability to build networks with a wide range of people and to positively influence and build consensus
