The Role

This position will have you assist and ensure compliance with relevant Utilities specific statutory requirements through the execution of divisional compliance management programs, with an option to focus on waste-water and recycled water requirements, this position is set to run for 12 months with the potential for extension based out of the Rio Tinto Operations Centre at Perth Airport on a full time roster 5 days per week. This is a great opportunity to assist Rio Tinto on matters within compliance across a range of areas such as electricity, Gas, Water and Renewable Energy targets.

What You Will Be Doing

• Completing and monitoring scheduled compliance and assurance activities.

• Identify, communicate and control any risks or potential non-compliances.

• Manage government/regulator, community and customer relationships, as well as associated social risks.

• Request legal advice as required

• Respond to general internal compliance operational issues.

• Auditing and reporting

• Management of improvement projects and actions

To be successful in this role you will require exposure to the following:

• Bachelor's degree (law, science, environment, engineering)

• Industry experience in government/regulatory approvals and/or water, wastewater or health industry

• Rio Tinto experience (ideal)

• Auditor training (ideal)

• Experience providing project advice and support

• Exposure to wastewater or utilities industry
