About the Role:
WorkPac on behalf of our leading Australian owned and operated complete engineering provider tailoring innovating engineering solutions across the mining, marine and resource sectors are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join their Major Projects division.
Key Responsibilities:
The Major Projects division is looking for seasoned Construction Managers to join our Perth based team with requirements to travel to our Major Projects sites in the Pilbara on an ad hoc basis. You will be responsible for managing the project execution and delivery, whilst utilising your experience in Civil & NPI Construction, road construction, bulk and detailed earthworks and drainage. Your responsibilities include:
Manage labour, tooling, equipment, and materials for the duration of the works.
Ensure all work is constructed in accordance with relevant specifications and procedures.
Ensure compliance with client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans and procedures.
Ensure work crews are adequately resourced to complete their jobs safely.
Promote a positive culture by leading by example, coaching, and mentoring superintendents, supervisors and engineers.
Organising and coordinating construction activities in accordance with construction schedules to complete the works on time and under budget whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning, safety, environmental and quality activities.
Liaise closely with clients, management and all other project staff.
Attend weekly client progress meetings and maintain a positive relationship with the client.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role working in the mining sector
Experience in managing project engineering and a working knowledge of project management
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold valid working rights
Autonomous , adaptable and flexible
Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to stringent timelines
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Able to interpret and follow design models and engineering drawings
Proficient in the full MS Office Suite
Commitment to safe work habits and our core values
Tertiary qualification or trade background relating to, civil engineering or construction management.
