About the Position:

In partnership with our leading resource client, WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Design Draftsperson based in Kurri Kurri. The successful candidate will prepare designs, specifications, drawings and specification packages for the construction of fixed and mobile plant on capital projects and oversee contractor drafting design requirements for a variety of projects ranging up to$5M. You will champion the Design Quality Plan(DQP) in the drawing management system and assist with managing the drafting workload and deliverables amongst drafting contractors required from time to time.

Responsibilities will Include:

• Design drafting for both Delivery Systems and Fixed Plant

• Planning (contributing to briefs) for design work

• Agreeing customer requirements and preparing concept layouts and designs for approval

• Preparing detailed construction drawings and specifications covering a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical and electrical

• Checking drawings (as per Work Instructions)

• Maintaining a detailed knowledge concerning the functional requirements and design of fixed and mobile plants.

• Supervising internal and external drafting work to ensure compliance with company standards

• Re-using, to the maximum extent, previous designs and drawings for Standard Plant & Equipment

Skills and Experience

• Proven 8 years experience in an engineering design drafting role.

• A thorough knowledge of AS1100 drawing standards is essential

• Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of Autocad and Solidworks

• A practical understanding of typical materials handling and pumping systems.

• Current C Class Driver's License

• Full Rights to Work within Australia
