About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced and Qualified Electrician with Rail experience, exposure or experience with Signalling will be highly advantageous however not essential. ?
You will assist the Rail Signalling Technicians to maintain the Rio Tinto Railways Division Train Control Signalling System and related communications to support the efficient operation of the railway and monitoring of its assets in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
-Assist qualified Signalling Technicians to efficiently carry out planned maintenance and inspections of train control signalling and associated communications to provide safe and reliable operation of the railway.
Identify faults and undesirable conditions/hazards and rectify where practicable
Assist with the development and implementation of improvement projects and propose improvements to maintenance processes, including the proactive use of diagnostic tools to support predictive maintenance activities.
Attend and rectify faults in a timely manner to minimise production delays.
Conduct themselves as a Member of the team, thru high standards of works, safety and a willingness to learn.
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders including Train Control, Rail operations, RSM and Engineering Support regarding the signalling system performance.

Requirements
Electrical Trade Qualification
C Class Drivers Licence
Australian Rights to work
Sound understanding of relevant legislative requirements.
Sound knowledge of proactive maintenance principles.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant computer programs
