About the Role

Use your dewatering electrical experience to support the safe and efficient operations at Rio Tinto West Angelas mine site, through the execution of electrical fault finding, breakdown repairs, planned and opportune maintenance.

Reporting to the Shift Maintenance, Supervisor, you will have experience on:

• Generators: Can read electrical drawings, operate/navigate generator controllers, diagnose fault find and repair electrical parts to a generator, understanding of electrical safety devices to include Earth leakage, Earth continuity, E-stops

• Headworks: Can read and understand the following - Flow meters, pressure gauges, level probes

• Pumps: Installation of pumps, pump knowledge, has carried out pump cable joins, can terminate cables into marechal plugs

• Carry out Statutory tests and checks on generators and lighting plants

• Repairs to lighting plants, diagnose fault find and repair, ballasts, wiring looms, light fittings

Skills & Experience

• 2 years + mining experience in a similar role

• WA Electrical Licence

• Electrical Fitter Trade Certificate

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

• SAP experience (preferred)

• Knowledge of SCADA/CITECT (preferred)
