The Opportunity

Our client is currently seeking experience electrician with experience in a manufacturing environment to undertake maintenance work on plant machinery.

• Long term role for the right person

• $49.18 p /hr plus super and overtime penalties

• Laverton location

• 60-65 hr week- Monday - Friday with some Saturday work

The Role

• General workshop duties

• Developing and following planned maintenance activities;

• Diagnosing faults and proactively managing breakdowns of equipment or process failures;

• Identifying opportunities and activities which improve plant and equipment, reliability and efficiency;

• Inspections

• Basic programming

• Breakdown responses

• Repetitive manual handling

• Some lifting

• Trip outs and recess

Skills and experience

• Hard working with a positive attitude

• Be self-motivated and reliable with a positive attitude;

• Able to adapt to changing demands;

• Understanding of Safety systems and processes including Risk Assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections;

• Proven excellent reliability checkable via referees

• Proactive

• Working in a similar environment would be an advantage

• MUST be able to pass a Pre-employment medical

• MUST be able to pass the Mandatory Drug and Alcohol testing

• Must have transport
