Electrician

⢠$64.33 per hour flat rate plus super

⢠Roster may vary, minimum 38 hrs a week

⢠Gladstone Based, Must have own accommodation

About the Role

Our client requires an Electrician to work on their locomotive Fleet,based in Gladstone. You will be required to Repair and maintain locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant and infrastructure, including electrical or mechanical work.

Skills/Experience

You will also be required to:

• Work from prints or plans and develop design drawings as required,

• Provide guidance and "on job" instruction to other staff (including apprentices).

• Use fixed, portable and hand machines, utilising hand tools and precision instruments.

• Undertake material, tooling, component identification, selection, application and installation.

• Undertake electrical or mechanical trade skills as required.

• Derailment recovery

You must hold:

• Electrical trade qualification

• Up to date LVR/CPR

• Experience in the resources/infrastructure/ transport related developments.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Computer literate

• Locomotive and wagon experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided

• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting experience, with strong ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.

• Current unrestricted drivers licence

• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test

Roster may vary from Monday to Friday - some afternoon or night shift, Some weekend work, min 38 hours per week.
