About the Role

You will provide Operational Technology (OT) engineering support and advice primarily to the Asset Portfolio Development and Delivery and Operations groups. You will also ensure effective operation of OT assets by designing, reviewing and supporting OT engineering related work. The Asset Portfolio Development and Delivery Group comprises of a range of technical and professional work groups which are responsible for delivering engineering, asset management, ICT, program and project delivery services.

Duties & Responsibilities

This extensive role covers a variety of duties and responsibilities, this will include but not be limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of Seqwater's OT engineering related standards and technical specifications.

  • Contribute to the project deliverables and outcomes of OT program of work.

  • Maintain a stable and standardised engineering environment.

  • Prepare and maintain fit for purpose and cost- effective OT engineering standards and technical specifications.

  • Support a consistent regional approach to OT maintenance delivery.

  • Coordinate operations and maintenance input into OT standards and processes.

  • Contribute to engineering reviews with specific emphasis on cost effectiveness, risk reduction, constructability and operability.

  • Contribute to the project deliverables and outcomes of OT programs of work.

  • Undertake engineering capability assessments, risk reviews, process performance analysis and optimisation investigations and engineering options assessments.

  • Develop scopes of work for proposed works and consultancy activities, technical specifications for tender documents and engineering and technical standards for internal and external use.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have the following: -

  • Degree qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Software or equivalent engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience.

  • Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Chartered Engineer (desirable).

  • Qualifications in project management or asset management (desirable).

  • Working knowledge of PLC and SCADA software and hardware

  • Knowledge of industrial electrical design and installation practices including the ability to implement designs and manage installation.

  • 'C' class drivers licence.
