About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer, within Rioâs Utilities team. This role will be Perth based at the Operational Centre. Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to support the Project Manager to construct business critical electrical infrastructure at Rioâs Dampier sites.

Duties include:

• Support the Project Manager and take on complex tasks that require expedient resolution.

• Primarily responsible for the free issue supply packages (220kV Primary Plant and Transformers).

• Coordinate design reviews and technical queries across all packages.

• Responsible for coordinating and maintaining project action register.

• Monthly validation of the contractor and suppliers progress claims in conjunction with the contract administrator and site superintendent.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or related discipline

• Worked as a Project Engineer â Electrical for a minimum of 10 years

• Demonstrate experience in Power Systems Design and Engineering

• Significant experience in managing high-value complex projects with proven capability in project management, project delivery and portfolio management

• The ability to lead, plan and coordinate large projects from concept to execution, including the ability to prepare project documentation and procedures.

• Good understanding of relevant Australian Standards

• An industry recognised project management qualification, either PMBOK®, Prince 2â¢, MSP⢠or RegPM is beneficial
