Our client is a large construction company partnered with WorkPac, they are currently seeking an experienced excavator operator for an on-going position in Townsville.

About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator with Marine Construction experience for a project based in Townsville. This opportunity is working a minimum 10 hours a day on day shift Monday - Saturday. The successful candidate will have an extensive background operating 45T, 60T & 85T operators. You will be responsible for constant communication via radio between crews and must have a high attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating 45T, 60T & 85T excavators

• Operating around other machinery and ground crew

• Manual labouring

• Radio Communication

• Meeting strict safety standards

• Working both individually and a part of a team

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have over 3 yearsâ experience operating an Excavator; Komatsu 45, 60 and 85T machine using GPS (grabs and buckets) to construct a 3 layered rock bund.

• Experience in Marine or Coastal Construction is highly regarded

• Ability to work autonomously and in a fast pace environment

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts / 6 days a week

• Must have reliable transport and a QLD Driverâs License

• QLD Construction White / Blue Card

• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical / Dug & Alcohol

• Passport or Birth Certificate

• 2 contactable work referees to confirm experience

• Must be reliable and have a strong commitment to safety
