Our client is a large mining company, partnered with WorkPac, they are currently seeking individuals to assist in the field with core processing.

About the Role

WorkPac are seeking motivated and hard working individuals for a field role assisting with core processing in the Mt Isa region. This is a FIFO opportunity out of Brisbane and you will be working day shifts on a 15:6 roster including travel. You will be responsible for daily assistance with core processing duties, collection of soil samples along with camp maintenance and cooking in the field.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collection and transport of drill core

• Receiving and offloading of drill core and samples

• Prepare drill core for Geologists

• Cleaning and aligning drill core

• Drill core and tray mark up

• Geotechnical measurements

• SG density readings

• Core photography and data capturing

• Core cutting and sampling

• Collection of soil samples

• Camp management duties (cleaning, cooking, vehicle and equipment maintenance)

• Forklift related activities (if required)

  Skills & Qualifications

• Farming/Field Assistant background favoured

• Current Drivers License â Manual

• Forklift licence (preference will be given)

• HR Licence (preference will be given)

• Dogging and CV (preference will be given)

• HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (preference will be given)

• High level of fitness

• Ability to live in the field

• High attention to detail

• High regard for safety

• Reliable and strong work ethics
