Field Assistants, Experienced Field Assistants

Work scope

Daily activities from 6am to 6pm (12 hours)
General work associated with geological sampling on an air core drilling rig, mostly repetitive manual handling tasks involved.
Driving 4WD?s, towing trailers, loading and packing samples.
Use of Trimble survey equipment for the pegging of drill sites.
Use of a forklift, light truck
Leading hands to help with logistics, crew movements, supervision of earthmoving contractors

Roster will be 2:1 Dayshift only


Essential Qualifications
4WD training
Pre-Employment Medical
G1 Apply risk management
First aid and CPR training
Fire Extinguisher training
Previous experience working outdoors doing 12 hour shifts
Good level of fitness to complete repetitive manual handling tasks in high temperatures
Good all round practical skills required
Experience with working in a small team


Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with remote area drilling programmes and camp based activities
HR truck licence desired
High risk fork lift licence desired
4WD recovery training
Senior / Remote first aid training
HSE qualification / Trainer & Assessor
