About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking a Geology Superintendent for our client based in Perth. Working across 3 sites in the Pilbara, 8 days on site, 4 days in the Perth office, followed by 9 days off. The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing and implementing best practice systems, procedures, and operational support processes, along with mentoring field staff.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Train and mentor team members in the field, ensuring all exploration work is undertaken safe and efficiently

• Review technical and data collection procedures and upgrade data collection methodology, geological coding systems and exploration procedures.

• Monitor work quality, compliance and work program progresses per each group

• Assist in the planning and implementation of exploration programme

• Lead, develop, motivate, and encourage direct reports, peers, and other personnel to successfully achieve individual, departmental and company objectives.

• Ensure resources are correctly maintained, safely operated and available as needed (including hired equipment) to meet schedule requirements.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Geoscience or similar

• 15+ years in Geoscience role

• Iron Ore experience

• Strong technical skills

• Well developed written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organization skills and time management

• Good understanding of field exploration activities, drilling techniques. Sampling and assaying

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills

• WA C Class Drivers Licence
