About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an entry level Geotechnical Logging Engineer or Civil engineer with exposure to mining with Rio Tinto for a 8:6 Roster FIFO from Perth based within the Pilbara. Within this position we are seeking an enthusiastic Geotechnical Engineer to provide geotechnical support to the mining operation through proactive management of geotechnical risk and hazard identification. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and working in a challenging and exciting environment within Mine Technical Services you will be responsible for Geotechnical data collection from core logging.

Duties:

• Geotechnical data collection from core logging

Skills and Experience

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification ( Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology )

• Knowledge of Geotechnical Logging Methodology

• Manual C Class Australian Licence (minimum)
