Health & Safety Administration Officer

    About the Role:

    WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Administration Officer for a 3-4-month contract. This role will be responsible for supporting the Safety and Health Superintendent to apply, implement, establish and review the mine sites Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS).

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond efficiently and appropriately as the first point of contact for any walk-in Health & Safety administrative enquiries;

  • Ensure the timely and accurate filing of SHMS documentation including assisting to maintain the Mine Record

  • Provide administrative assistance in the compilation and distribution of Safety Alerts, Form 1a and Form 5a to Mines Department, ensuring appropriate prioritisation

  • Manage the Health & Safety office notice board, ensuring all alerts and information is displayed and refreshed/maintained as required

  • Provide administrative assistance in the compilation and distribution of meeting minutes as requested, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution

  • Provide assistance to departments to manage FPe workflow and system support

  • Provide administrative assistance in compilation of end of month and quarterly census reporting of H&S Statistical Analysis

    Proactively build and maintain positive working relationships through working collaboratively, demonstrating teamwork and mutual respect

Be proactive in time and workload management so that assigned work and actions are submitted at the acceptable standard in the allocated timeframe.

Contribute to and seek out cost saving strategies, that will reduce unnecessary waste and expenditure

Carry out all work safely and in accordance with correct operating procedures

Complete all tasks and duties as reasonably requested by the leader and key stakeholders

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role

  • Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.

  • High level written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate recommendations clearly and succinctly.

  • Proactive approach towards personal and team Health, Safety, Environment & Community awareness.

  • Current Coal Board Medical (Willing to obtain)

  • Current Standard 11 (Willing to obtain)

  • Current C Class Australian Licence

  • Full Working Rights in Australia
