Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.

What You Will Be Doing

WorkPac currently has positions available for both experienced and new to industry diesel fitters at Rio Tinto's Mesa J mine site.

Reporting to the site's Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service. The fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will be working on are:

• Dump Trucks- Predominantly CAT 789s& 793s

• Loaders- Komatsu WA500, WA1200, CAT992& 980

• Graders- CAT 16H&24H

• Dozers- CAT D10&D11

• Excavators- Hitachi EX3600& 1900

• Drills- Atlas Copco D65

Positions are open to candidates with previous experience working on agricultural and civil earthmoving equipment.

What You Will Need

• Heavy Diesel trade qualification

• Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
