About the role
We are seeking a HSE Officer on behalf of our leading renewable energy client. Work Monday to Friday with possible Saturdays for up to a two year duration. You will be working alongside the existing HSE Officer on the Flat Rocks Wind Farm Project, based in Kojonap WA.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Understanding local country legal and other requirements related to health safety and Environment
Deep knowledge of HSE standards within construction industry
Hazard identification
Evaluation of health and human factors, methods for exposure monitoring and assessment of occupational health safety and environmental risks, human behaviour, person-to-person, and person-to-machine interactions
Conducting risk assessments (including determining controls based on âhierarchy of controlsâ, and risk
communication)
Monitoring the management of Processes and working practices, equipment and maintenance, raw materials, hazardous substances, workflow organization, shift-scheduling, behavioural based safety (BBS), and more
Monitor system of âoccupational exposure limitâ values
Monitor effective applications of incident (including accident and work-related illnesses) investigations and evaluations (i.e. root cause analysis), and methods for monitoring and reporting HSE-related performance
Review of Safety in Design
Monitor Auditing activities
Skills and Abilities:
HSE Qualifications/ Relevant experience within the construction industry
Full working right within Australia
Teamwork
Organization and planning
Results orientation
Communication skills at different organizational level
Problem solving
Comfortable to work in matrix organization reporting and multiple reporting
