About the Client
Specialising in the manufacturing, servicing and distribution of mining and construction equipment, our client is looking to add a Hydraulic Fitter to their team. Based out of their Wacol (QLD) location, the you will be responsible for servicing on all hydraulic components with a focus on cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, rotary heads, and accumulators. As the Hydraulic Fitter you will be expected to work Monday to Friday (minimum 8 hours a day) and be required to pass a Pre-Employment Medical before commencing.
What You Will Be Doing
Moving into an immediate full-time position with the company, your responsibilities will range across various hydraulic components with a focus on the below duties;
Strip, rebuild or modify components for jobs
Modification, rebuild and fabrication of drill components
Testing to ensure accuracy of fit and fault finding
Update job cards for parts used
Report inadequate stock levels to your shop leading hand
Assemble kits according to company documentation
Provide assistance to team members where required
What You Will Need
Driver's Licence + Transport
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
Forklift Licence
Solid knowledge in hydraulic function
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings
Ability to rebuild and modify mechanical components including intricate parts
Thorough understanding of blast hole drill operation
Machining skills including operation of lathe and mill plus fabrication skills
Computer literacy in word, outlook, excel
Ability to complete manual lifting and labouring activities
Ability to work as part of a closely knit team
Positive attitude and willingness to progress within the company
